Essential Work: Stories From Our Front Line Workers
Wednesday, April 29, 7- 8:30 pm

Find out what it’s like to work while during a global pandemic. Hear stories that span fighting infectious disease, to interacting with the public on a daily basis, to working at a correctional facility, as well as working in a city emergency response team. Members will take us through personal experiences during these unique times.

Dr. Nancy Shulman
Nancy is an Infectious Disease physician, who has been working in pharma/biotech. She maintains a small voluntary clinical practice in HIV care at San Mateo General Hospital.

Lisa Myers
Lisa is the Supervising Ranger for the Palo Alto Baylands. She has been a Ranger for 26 years and an Emergency Medical Technician for 20 years.

Jennifer Schwartz
Jennifer is a Deputy Sheriff with the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office. She is currently assigned to the Maguire Correctional Facility and has been in law enforcement for 24 years.

Nancy Milholland
Nancy is a GIS Application Engineer at the San Francisco Department of Emergency Management. She uses geospatial tools to visualize data, provide new insights, generate questions, and tell a story. She is part of the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) for the City and County of San Francisco.
